Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official notification for the Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26 to engage Engineering Graduate, Diploma, and General Stream Graduate Apprentices for a one-year apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973. A total of 200 apprentice positions are available across various disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Shipbuilding, and general streams like B.Com, BBA, BCA, and BSW. Eligible Indian candidates who have completed their Diploma or Degree on or after 01 April 2021 can apply online through the MDL Apprentice Portal.

MDL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification:

  1. Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline from a recognized Board/University.
  2. Engineering Graduate Apprentices: Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University/Institution.
  3. General Graduate Apprentices: Degree in B.Com / BBA / BCA / BSW from a recognized University.

Candidates must have passed their Diploma/Degree on or after 01 April 2021.

Mazagon Dock Apprentice Selection Process 2025

The selection process for MDL Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26 will be based on merit and interview performance. Candidates will first be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their qualifying diploma or degree examination. Shortlisted applicants will then be called to Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited for document verification and a personal interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of a combined merit, where 80% weightage will be given to academic qualifications and 20% to the interview performance.
